Annual Public Lecture
Our annual lecture provides an opportunity for school students to watch internationally-renowned economists present their research. Principally aimed at sixth form students, it’s relevant for those studying economics, maths, business studies and geography, and has become an established part of the school calendar. The annual lecture is held twice, once in London and once at a different location (currently the University of York).

The talk is a wonderful opportunity for students to listen to an economist that can show what they are doing in the subject and inspire them to study it at a later date. It's also good that students can network afterwards.

The lecture was inspiring and reassured my deep interest and reasons for pursuing Economics in the future. It reinforced how Economics is a subject that holds the keys to providing an insight into complex issues faced by society
Christos Alexandrou,
Davenant Foundation School
My students who are all female were thoroughly inspired by the lecture and the way in which the speaker handled the audience. Truly impressive and a wonderful role model for female students proving the extent to which women can be successful in Economics and have a real influence on the profession. I have spent my teaching career trying to encourage young women into Economics and Economics related areas.
Ms Libby Ancrum,
Walthamstow Hall School
