The 2019 European Economics Job Market is being held in Rotterdam, 17-18 December 2019 and co-sponsored by the European Economic Association (EEA), the Royal Economic Society (RES) and the Asociación Española de Economía (AEE).
This two day event is designed for postgraduate economic students seeking to develop a career in economics.
It provides a forum for postgraduates to be interviewed by recruiting institutions from across Europe. So far more than a hundred organisations have registered to attending, including universities, central banks, research centres and private companies.
To register for free please visit the EconJobMarket website by 15 November 2019. Here you can create an account and specify which Job Market meetings you wish to attend. Interviews will take place across several locations in Rotterdam. More information can be found here.
The Job Market is open both to current job market candidates and to PhD students who are planning to get on the job market. A key aim of the meetings is to allow European recruiters to interview job market candidates nearer to home. Recruiters use the meetings in addition to, or as well as, the AEA meetings to meet with candidates.
There's lots of reasons to attend the two day job market in Rotterdam including:
- Presentations on improving your skills;
- Interviews between recruiters and job market candidates;
- Plenary sessions offering advice on getting published and securing a job; and
